Juniperberry CO2, a Fresh and Woody CO2 Extract
This oil has a fresh and woody aroma with a slight camphorous/piney note. When used in a diffuser or added to an oil burner, its unique aroma can help you feel balanced and uplifted. It is a pale yellow fluid, great to diffuse where negativity is an issue and you want to feel more positive and naturally motivated. It’s got great natural antibacterial properties, and has been used to support the urinary system and circulation when used as part of a massage blend and used on the abdomen.
What is the difference between a CO2 Select and CO2 Total Extract?
Total extracts – These require higher pressure and low temperatures during extraction, with the resultant extract containing a high proportion of compounds such as fatty acids, waxes, resins, and any plant pigments. The oil is similar in nature to a complete extraction of all the Phyto-botanical materials. They are often semi solid or solid and must be gently warmed to use them like a liquid.
Select extracts – Require low pressure and low temperature with the resultant liquid/extract being made up of only volatile material. This method avoids thermal degradation, avoids oxidation and the result can be used like an essential oil. The oil differs from the distilled or solvent extracted version as it can have a very different chemical composition. Select extracts contain between 35% to 95% essential oil along with fatty acids and other fatty substances.

This Juniperberry has been grown in Bosnia & Herzegovina, then tested on site at our Hampshire laboratories to ensure excellent quality.
In addition, none of the Absolute Aromas products are tested on animals, and all are vegan and free from GM materials.
How to use
A few drops of Juniperberry CO2 extract in a long hot bath can be hugely uplifting – just make sure you add a dispersant oil or a little milk or honey to your bath too to disperse the oil evenly. It’s also a lovely oil to diffuse or use in your skin treatments – add 1 drop to an unscented face cream to boost skin radiance!
TO NOTE: Do not use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding. Do a patch test 24 hours prior to first use to test for sensitivities and always use diluted at the correct ratio. Not suitable for use on children.
