Aromatherapy – an art and a science…

Blending essential oils is both an art and a science, offering endless possibilities to create custom aromas and therapeutic benefits. The process involves combining two or more essential oils to enhance their properties, balance their scents, or address specific needs. To start, consider the purpose of your blend—whether it’s relaxation, energy, focus, or skincare. Understanding the properties of individual oils is essential; for example, lavender is calming, while peppermint is invigorating.
A successful blend often follows a ratio of top, middle, and base notes for a harmonious fragrance. Top notes, like citrus oils, are light and uplifting. Middle notes, such as rosemary or geranium, provide balance, while base notes like sandalwood or patchouli offer depth and longevity.
Always dilute your blend with a carrier oil before use, and test for sensitivity. With practice, blending becomes a rewarding way to harness the natural power of essential oils.

Why is our Glass Stirring Rod so great?

Blending essential oils into a carrier oil is simple and ensures effective application as essential oils should not be used without being diluted as they are very concentrated plant extracts.
