- CO2 EXTRACT – CO2 extraction is a process using pressurised CO2 to extract all botanical materials from the plant, creating a pure, clean, high-quality oil with no solvent residue. CO2 extracts are generally more representative of the original plant material than oils extracted by other means such as steam distillation or solvent extraction as it is a very gentle process.
- AROMATHERAPY – Coriander CO2 extract is a fabulous oil to soothe aches and pains when used in massage, blended in a carrier oil. It is also known to be a protective oil for skin and can be beneficial to reducing damage to skin caused by environmental stressors.
- HOW TO USE – Used alone, Coriander CO2 extract is known to be able to induce feelings of joy when diffused, so give this a go; 3-4 drops in an electric diffuser is ideal. Like many other aromatic extracts it can also have a stimulating effect and is lovely when combined with Grapefruit and Lemon Essential Oils for a zesty diffusion combination.

Coriander CO2, a Sweet and Aromatic CO2 Extract
A colourless fluid. A beautifully comforting, soothing and refreshing oil which is a tonic for the nervous system. It has a high level of naturally antibacterial properties and is soothing and purifying to the body and skin and a great general digestive system tonic when used with massage.
What is the difference between a CO2 Select and CO2 Total Extract?
Total extracts – These require higher pressure and low temperatures during extraction, with the resultant extract containing a high proportion of compounds such as fatty acids, waxes, resins, and any plant pigments. The oil is similar in nature to a complete extraction of all the Phyto-botanical materials. They are often semi solid or solid and must be gently warmed to use them like a liquid.
Select extracts – Require low pressure and low temperature with the resultant liquid/extract being made up of only volatile material. This method avoids thermal degradation, avoids oxidation and the result can be used like an essential oil. The oil differs from the distilled or solvent extracted version as it can have a very different chemical composition. Select extracts contain between 35% to 95% essential oil along with fatty acids and other fatty substances.

How to use
Coriander CO2 extract can be a great addition to your skincare routine when diluted with an unscented base cream or carrier oil. A blend of Coriander Seed Oil and Turmeric helps in soothing and relieving skin that may be prone to blemishes. Never exceed 3% ratio of CO2 in your creations as they are very concentrated so you will only need a little.
TO NOTE: Do not use in pregnancy or when breastfeeding. Do a patch test 24 hours prior to first use to test for sensitivities and always use diluted at the correct ratio. Not suitable for use on children.
